That 0.48.5, 64-bit, afaiu, originated here -- partha.org. That site is likely to be pretty safe, but Ragnar's right. No site should be trusted blindly. Always scan any files you download from the internet, from anywhere, with a good anti-virus scanner! (And also any other malware scanner you might want to use.)

I've actually never heard of that afterdawn site, although any rec from Ragnar is sincere, and likely safe

(0.91 is the first version of Inkscape where the 64-bit version is widely recognized. And 0.48.x was the first 64-bit version ever.)
