Font not responding and Reinstall issue.

Hi there.

My Mac version of Inkscape is having trouble with Myriad Pro Condensed. Here's the backstory:

I use Inkscape at home (Mac) and at work(PC) and wanted to edit a file at home. I downloaded the file at home and the font was defaulted to sans serif. When I go to change it it won't do normal condensed Myriad it does bold or italic. If I select it and use keyboard shortcuts i can get it back to looking normal.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled x11, the font, and inkscape on my mac but the problem persists.

If I just try to start a new document it also hads a problem.

The one thing I don't understand is that even when I uninstall Inkscape and x11 it still shows me that i have recent documents which leads me to believe that something is being left behind.

I'm about to buy a cheap PC to use at home if i can't get this sorted.

Hi,

so it works correctly on your work Windows computer? It might be that the font file differs. Can you copy the font file from your work computer to your Mac, so they are identical?

If this doesn't help, please check the Inkscape version on both computers. (see Help -> About). Some versions are known to not show all font styles.
