Well it looks like this issue wasn't followed up on. And on re-reading the thread, it seems like the op went to make a bug report before the problem was investigated completely. And plus, they never posted a link to the bug report, so we can't check for fixes or workarounds.

Would you please describe your problem in your own words? Also, please provide the PDF and the SVG file.
