Turning an image into an object?

Hi!

I’m having an issue with two things or well I just dont know how it’s done.

First, I have this outline of a leaf with a white background and it’s a Køge image that I imported. I want to make the edges of the outline thicker, I guess I will have to turn it into an object or something, how do I do that?

Also, I have a PNG image that I’ve imported that is a black outlining without any background. I want to make it white, I’m guessing this issue will have the same solution?

Yes, for the photo (I looked up "Køge image" which sounds like stock photos?), you'll have to convert it to vector paths.  Depending on how complex the image is, or the part that you need, it might be easier to either auto-trace (Path menu > Trace Bitmap) or "manually" trace it using Pen/Bezier tool.  If you can share the image, we can give you our opinion whether auto-trace or hand-trace would be better (or easier, or faster, or whatever).

Yes, similar solution for both.  Can you share the images with us?

You could attach to your next message, by using the full editor.  Click "Reply" and not "Quick Reply".   Then look below the message editor for "Attachments".  Or you could upload anywhere you like, and give us the link to it.
