Sorry if the subject doesn't make sense - I didn't know how else to word it.

I have an EPS file of a logo that I need to provide the company making a rubber stamp. How do I send them an EPS file so that the finished rubber stamp is the desired size?

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum!

To make it the right size, you simply select it, and set the size you want.  Use the Selection tool  :sel:,  then look at the control bar (which is the bar just above the horizontal ruler).  There, find the W and H boxes, and set the right size.

If you already did that, that means there might be a wrong setting somewhere, or who knows.  We'll need some more info before we can figure it out.

Would you please share your SVG file with us?  Also, tell us the size you want it, and the size it apparently is.  Also please tell us your operating system, and which version of Inkscape you're using.

Also please tell us, did you draw this image?  Or did you download it or purchase it from somewhere?

Note that if you're on Windows, you'll need to install something else, to be able to open an EPS file.  See:  https://inkscape.org/learn/faq/#how-open-eps-files-windows

I appreciate the welcome.

That worked fine and was simple enough.

How do I clear measurements that I inadvertently added. I've looked all over and cannot find how to clear measurements.

Thank you!

I'm not sure what you mean about clearing measurements.

Do you mean the Measurement tool  :meas: ?  Yes, that actually drives me crazy, and I avoid using that tool because of it.  I don't know how to get rid of it, except to just go to a blank area of the canvas, and click and drag around until they go away.  (Maybe should be reported as a bug?)

Or if you mean something else, please clarify.

Thanks for the reply. You did understand correctly - I'm glad it's not just me who has that problem!

Maybe I'll raise the issue with developers.  Either there must be some way to sort of erase the last measurement, or it's a bug.  I'll post back here and report what I learn :)

Edit
Ok, just playing around with it for a minute.  I think it's supposed to work like this.  Let's say you measured something.  If you click once on any open area of canvas (which for every other part of Inkscape, that deselects everything, or sort of clears everything) it adds more info to the measurement, which I can see could be useful.

But if, instead of just clicking once, you click and drag, it starts a new measurement.

However, even though there's a need for this behavior, I still think it would be useful to have a key shortcut, or some way to clear the last measurement, besides making a new measurement.

Maybe I'll make a feature request?

Edit #2

Oh wait!  I'll bet Esc key will do that....  Hhmm....well, sort of, but not really.  For some reason, pressing Esc disables Measurement tool and enables Selection tool.  When I re-enable Measurement tool, the measurement I was trying to get rid of, is back!

There can't be any reason for that, could there?  Does anyone know?
