Hi!

If you like vector-based 2D animation maybe you'll want to watch this video:

Tupi is a free/open 2D animation tool with an interesting interface for applications like Inkscape and Gimp. Right now, the project is only available for Linux and Mac OSX, but a crowdfunding campaign to port the code to Windows is going on right now.

In case you want to know more about Tupi, please visit: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/tupi-2d-animation-software-for-everyone/x/3456556

Any help is very welcome!

 :f5:  OMG, that looks awesome!!

And welcome to Inkscape Community, btw  :D

I know that a lot of people are interested in animating vectors, and currently, the only way to do it, is either with Synfig, which is not quite mature enough yet; or go 3D with Blender.  (afaik)  The info we have here, about animation and Inkscape, get the most hits, not surprisingly.  So I'll be glad to add links to Tupi in that Animation section of our Inkscape Tutorials (home) page.

I only use Windows currently, so I'll be glad to see a Windows version.  But who knows, maybe I'll make the leap to Linux, one of these days.

Thank you so much for letting us know about it!
