Hi there!
I have a .DFX file created with Autocad, representing a map, i.e. full of strangely shaped lines. Most of them polylines (paths) which are intentionally left open (no connection between terminal nodes).
Importing the file in Inkscape however gets all these paths closed, with the design destroyed by all these straight lines uniting all pairs of terminal nodes.
I can fix them individually, by selecting the path, then applying: break apart (CTRL+SHIFT+K), delete extra segment between what are now non-terminal nodes, then combine (CTRL+K).
As this process would likely take forever I wonder if I may be missing something here as to explain why Inkscape imports these paths "closed". Can I prevent that from happening?
