Hi there,
I've been happily using Inkscape for a number of years. However, recently I updated Lubuntu to 18.04. Since then, within a few minutes of using Inkscape, it would freeze, then display an error. Even on new images - e.g. draw an ellipse, convert object to path, then after a few minutes of adjusting the paths, Inkscape would crash.
Worried the "in place" upgrade of Lubuntu may have caused the issue, I wiped my system and installed Lubuntu 18.04 fresh and Inkscape (0.92.3 (2405546, 2018-03-11) from the repository. Unfortunately, I'm getting the same issue.
Running Inkscape from the command line, I see the following:
(inkscape:2605): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: 17:55:31.552: g_dbus_proxy_new: assertion 'G_IS_DBUS_CONNECTION (connection)' failed
This most often happens when adjusting paths - and most of the time within a few minutes of work.
Has anyone seen this issue recently and is there a fix - as sadly Inkscape is unusable on my system at the moment. I'm guessing there's a bug in this version of Inkscape?
Many thanks,
Marc
