saving svg file
Hello everyone new to inkspace!
THis is driving me mad! i created a text with photo inside but when i save it the image has gone. but i reopen in inkscape still there. any help would be grateful.
If i save as png ok but not in svg. as per attachments
thanks
Solved it myself! If i view it in a browser its fine must be my image viewer. hope this helps someone else...

Re: saving svg file
Yes, some viewers don't fully support SVG (although I've never heard of one that doesn't understand embedded raster images, tbh.). Which one have you been using?

probably need to upgrade my viewer
spent ages trying different things when there wasn't a problem, easy when you know how!
thanks
