Dear All,

I have a problem with Inkscape performance. I made a simple figure, copied it a few times and grouped elements together. Now when I want to move it around or copy, program is very slow to respond, or even stops responding completely. Here are my system specifications:

Dell Optiplex 3046:

- CPU i5 6500T (max load 33% whilst trying to move the figures)
- 8GB DDR4 RAM (max load 4.9 / 8GB whilst trying to move the figures)
- 256GB M.2 SSD (SanDisk Z400s)
- Windows 10 Pro 64-bit or Windows 7 Pro 64-bit (2nd PC) - happens on both
- Using InkScape latest version (0.92.3)

Could you please tell me what might be the cause and how to fix it?

Welcome to the forum!

This should give you some helpful tips:  https://forum.inkscapecommunity.com/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=35

If none of that seems to help, please share your SVG file with us.  There are some less common causes of performance issues, but we'd have to examine the file to catch them.
