Does anyone use Inkscape with their digitizing software, such as PE Design?  I've had some successes, some failures.  Wondering if anyone has some tips for me.  Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm not familiar with digitizing software for machine embroidery.  And natively, Inkscape can only provide the drawing (not digitizing, in the sense you mean).  But Inkscape has an extension which as far as I understand, provides digitizing.  https://github.com/lexelby/inkstitch  There's also a video tutorial which explains how to use it.

Oh look, he has a website for it now!  https://inkstitch.org/  It looks like that project has really taken off - Nice!

Thank you for replying.  It's not the actual digitizing that I need (my software does that).  It's hard to explain, but it's more like how to transfer the svg file so that it's not just one big thing.  Maybe I need to break apart the vector file into separate pieces before transferring it.  O well, I'll keep trying.  I do like Inkscape.  Fun to fool around with it.
