Hi everyone,
I've noticed a strange problem with a particular font in Inkscape.
I've downloaded the Roboto font from Google Fonts, and it seems like Inkscape is ignoring or not picking up the regular/default font weight for the font. It picks up all the other font weights, but regular is not available.
As you can see from the attached image, regular does not appear in the dropdown, and if I go to the 'Text and Font' dialogue window, it looks like Inkscape has confused medium with regular.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the font, but no difference. Other programs, like GIMP, are picking up the regular font weight.
Has anyone else hit this problem, and is there a workaround? I'm on Inkscape 0.91 and Windows 10.
Would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

Re: Inkscape not picking up font weight
I just tried installing roboto regular only and that worked ok as normal. Then I installed medium and that seems to appear as medium with regular still appearing as normal.
I'll try adding the rest of the family to see if anything gets bumped.
Using Inkscape 0.92.2 at the moment.

Re: Inkscape not picking up font weight
That's a known issue, due to a mix-up with the font names...

Re: Inkscape not picking up font weight
Thanks, guys. I appreciate the help.
Okay, I'll have to go through all the suggestions and see what works.
Thanks, tylerdurden, for your efforts. That definitely seems like an idea, installing each font weight one by one. I will try that. Thanks again.
Thanks, Moini, for the links. Didn't know this was actually a known issue. I have a ton of fonts but haven't come across this issue before in Inkscape or GIMP until Roboto. I'll try tylderdurden's method and then check out that other ISF thread you linked.
Thanks, guys.
