I have Windows 10 64 bit Professional installed on my desktop. I downloaded and installed the current version 92.3. I completed my project, a poster. But when I tapped print. Nothing happened. I checked to see if the printer was chosen, it was. I am now at a loss as to what to do know. Any help to get my project printed will be helpful.

Mmh. I thought printing issues on Win had been fixed for 0.92.3.

Can you please:

- test if other programs can use the printer
- make sure you really are using 0.92.3 (see Help > About)
- just once: uninstall and reinstall Inkscape (hope you did that for the update already?)
- if other programs print and you are using 0.92.3 and you did the uninstall-install routine, and it still doesn't work, please:
   - visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape
   - create a new bug report
   - add info about your printer
   - add info about your printer driver
   - attach a document that doesn't print

I did everything you suggest. Nothing changed. However, i did find a work around. I save my project as a PDF file. I can then print my project. But it can only be saved as a PDF file.

Welcome to the forum!

I wonder if your project is drawn inside the page border?  If it's not, it might not print.

You probably noticed the page border the first time you opened Inkscape.  Most people seem to think it's a rectangle which they don't want.  It can be switched off, so if you had done that, you might not realize the drawing is not inside the border.

That's only a guess, however.

Usually when you click the Print button, or File menu > Print, a print dialog should come up, where you need to choose which printer.  For example, I don't have any printers attached to my computer, however, the Print dialog offers me 2 choices.  Since you mentioned a slightly different series of actions, i.e. expecting it to start printing when you "tap" the Print button.  And only later checking on which printer what chosen, it makes me wonder whether you saw that dialog.

Or do you mean you clicked (or pressed) a print button somewhere else, besides Inkscape?

If you made a bug report, you may need to wait until someone can answer it.
Have you created one?
