Hi. New user of Inkscape here.

I did an image and applied a Filter, played around with it, when I was satisfied I rendered it, but when I went to the file folder I saw that the filter it did not render?

So I wen to Google and did a search, nothing, I went in Youtube and watched a couple of Filter related videos, and nothing.

What am I missing?

Here's a screenshot of my Inkscape session:

Here's the rendered image:

Welcome to the forum!

Not all places where you might view your SVG or vector images offer the same kind of support.  Especially file managers will probably not support filters.  I know Windows Explorer doesn't display them.

Just to make sure I understand, what do you mean when you say you "rendered" it?  To me, I usually see "render" used interchangeably with "draw".  But you seem to be using it in relation to saving or exporting.  So I just want to make sure the process you used.

Are you actually viewing the SVG image in a file manager?  Or else where is it where the filters appear to be missing?

Does it show up if you export as a png from Inkscape?
