Symmetry while making a path
Is it possible to turn on symmetry while making a path so that a center of a path is axis of symmmetry ?

There is a 'mirror' path effect, you may want to try that out:

No, Inkscape doesn't have a feature like that. The LPE which Moini mentioned might help.
Or this tutorial gives one way to create symmetry, using cloned paths (written for beginners):

Exactly what kind of symmetry do you want to create?
Edit menu > Clones > Tiled Clones can arranged cloned objects in various types of symmetry. But it's not about drawing paths symmetrically.
