Has anyone used inkscape for creating vectors for g code

Yes, people use Inkscape for CNC router projects. 

I understand the concept, where Inkscape provides the path, which the machine routes (cuts) along.  But I don't know much about the logistics, with g code and all.   In the Extensions Repository, I found....apparently there are 2 different extensions for this....  Or maybe there are 2 entries for the same extension?  I didn't investigate closely, but here are the links:
