Hi, Newb here  :wink1: I don't use InkScape much but for one specific purpose, so I don't know a whole lot about the program. So bear with me  :@@:

I've been using it successfully in the past to render my  pdf's as a png image, but now all of a sudden I'm having issues with it. After doing the export as .png process, when I go to open the .png image, it's just blank. There's nothing there. I've tried exporting the drawing, page and selection and I get the same result.

Attached is a screenshot of my export settings. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi. Cannot really tell what's going on by that description. Please share the file in question for inkscape-related workarounds.

On the other hand pdf is more of a printers format. Inkscape can open them but the results are hardly satisfactory of the document structure and loading can take way too long.
For pdf to png conversation I'd suggest using the free pdf-xchange viewer. It can export parts of a pdf to png at a given resolution.
Way better than acrobat reader.

I've edited my original question with a screenshot of my export setting. I hope that helps explain what you need. I know this might be a roundabout way of going about what I'm trying to do, but I heard it's the best so far. I just need a CLEAR raster image of my vector designs and inkscape has been great so far. I export my vector image from my other design software as a pdf image into inkscape, then export the inkscape design as a png image. But it's not exporting as a png correctly.  :hh:

You want to export a 4/4 px area? Seems that would be way too small for whatever use.

Still, have you tried the mentioned pdf-xchange viewer?

As a workaround, I would suggest using GIMP, which is also free.  I use it to convert pngs to jpgs, it handles really nicely.  I just did a test to ensure it would convert a pdf and it worked for me.

I'm with Lazur: Start by changing the image size to a useful value.
