Swedish Flag Tutorial
http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/AShortExample.html
This online book is IMO is clear and understandable for a new user. I'm having a problem when I use the rectangle tool to make the big rectangle for the flag and the two smaller thinner ones for the flag's stripes. Basically everything fills black color so I can't easily see what's going on. Default fill colors for the tool is black. As I draw with the tool I can whitish outlines as I drag but what I'm left with is one big black rectangle and I can't see the even the outlines of the stripes or work I've done. This has got to be a setting change or two?
Thanks.
