Hi all,
I have installed the tablet as an Admin. It works in Krita and with standard office programs.
It does not work for Inscape/
Checked input devices. It is listed. There are 4 lines:
  • Huion Tablet - set to disabled. I can change and save status. Status is reset to disabled when closing and reopening. There is also a tickbox which Im unable to tick
  • Huion Tablet Puck - set to Screen. I can change and save status. Status is maintained when closing and reopening.
  • Huion Tablet Pressure Stylus- set to Screen. I can change and save status. Status is maintained when closing and reopening.
  • Huion Tablet Eraser- set to Screen. I can change and save status. Status is maintained when closing and reopening.

I have found the preference XML. It only lists Tablet Puck, Stylus and Erasure. It does not list Huion Tablet itself.

Any advise?
Many thanks

Welcome to the forum!

When you say it doesn't work, what exactly do you mean?  Do you mean that the tablet won't run?  Or do you mean nothing is created in the Inkscape window, when you use the tablet?  Or do you mean that just pressure sensitivity doesn't work?

I don't use a tablet, so I can only give you the options which I know need to be enabled.  Edit menu > Inkscape Preferences > Input/Output > Input Devices.  The last 2 options on that page need to be checked.

I'd probably set the tablet to Screen, in the Input Devices dialog again, at this point.  Then you need to restart Inkscape - all instances of Inkscape need to be closed before you restart.

Crossing fingers!  Let us know what happens.
