HI all,
I am very much a noob to Inkscape though I have been trying for the past couple of weeks to work out how to do this. I will also apologise in advance that my use of language is probably not that technically correct, just trying to explain things as best I can.
Situation;
I have a laser engraver which can burn wood. That's my end goal
And I've achieved this to some degree but not exactly what I wanted.
The line drawing I have is very simple

(viewed 2277 times)The issue I am experiencing is that when I "Object to path", "Stroke to Path" or "Trace bitmap" (as my step along the way to generating the GCode)
The result is the path runs both sides of the line:

(viewed 1990 times)I've tried to alter the settings on each of the "Object to path", "Stroke to Path" and "Trace bitmap" to try to get a single pass but am not having any luck.
I have been trying to go in and delete the unnecessary paths but the process is extremely laborious. It's not that I don't mind hard work just hoping that there is a simpler solution.
I've also included a Zoom in on the original image. I understand that the reason for the two paths is that the line is more than one pixel wide.
