Hello Everyone, I only use Inkscape to export as a PLT File so is there a way so that everytime I go "SAVE" the *.ptl is already selected ready to save?

Better use 'Save a Copy' and keep the SVG file.

For me, then Inkscape will keep the file type of the last selection intact.

It's also good practice to keep the original SVG version, in case you want to make changes later.

Thanks, I really don't need to save a .svg file as each file might just be a single Name or Word so to SaveAs a *svg file then SaveAs a *.plt file 10 times a day could take me half the time if I can bypass changing the *.svg file type to *.plt everytime I need to save the file.

.plt being an export format, I think this is not going to happen, because you can lose important editing data when saving to a different format than SVG. Inkscape developers are trying to protect their users' data, and to protect users from making the most obvious mistakes.
